Our Mission
Canine Lore is an ESBC 5 ⭐️ certified facility offering training and activity based day care and home boarding that goes beyond the standard canine care setting. We are available for recurring day care and ad hoc home boarding.
At Canine Lore, our mission is to provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment for dogs while giving their owners peace of mind. We believe that every dog deserves to be the best they can be and we strive to make that a reality for each and every one of our guests.

Our Services
We offer a wide range of day care training activities which include Scent Detection work, Tracking, Retrieving, Bite Work, Obedience work and if required, Desensitisation & Counterconditioning programmes. Each dog receives its own structured training plan that is designed to meet their species and breed specific needs, and along with their exercise plan this is agreed in advance with you the owner.
Whilst we are training focused, our daily structure is designed to ensure your dog also gets the right amount of play, rest, and walks they require. By tailoring their care plan to meet both their physical and mental needs, and allowing time to decompress and not become overstimulated we ensure that each dog gets the maximum out of their time with us.
Our Facility
With a limited occupancy policy(*) and strict entrance criteria we aim to provide a safe and focused environment where each dog is able to receive the personalised care it deserves.
For day time care we have a dedicated indoor training area and scent studio, as well as dog only snug with fire for hanging out.
Overnight care is in a home from home environment with all dogs having supervised access to our outdoor training and free running area.
Our facility is designed with your dog's comfort and safety in mind. Plus, our state-of-the-art cleaning protocols ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
(*) 4 Dogs during normal day care, increasing to maximum of 6 during peak boarding times.
Our Staff
Our staff hold a range of dog related qualifications in canine care and behaviour as well as in canine first aid.
On Staff we have a College of Scent Dogs Trained Handler and Instructor who is also undergoing an 18 month Advanced Higher Certificate in Dog Behaviour and Training (Professional Practice) with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training.
